I hope that you will find yourself among not only colleagues, but friends as well, as you pursue your continuing education unit requirements with our group of local supportive and encouraging clinicians.  I hope you will discover how The Net Connection can be a key to your professional and personal fulfillment, business success, and the establishment of new friendships. The Net Connection offers a wide range of monthly continuing education topics and the chance for you to become involved with your peers each month. The Net Connection provides a place for professionals, pre-professionals and affiliate members to come together to develop their practices and sharpen their skills. It also provides opportunities to network with others in the mental health field and opportunities to provide important services to your community. Whether you’re just starting out or a more seasoned therapist, we hope you take advantage of all that we have to offer:

 

**1.5 CEU meetings held on the third Friday of each month (except July and December) at the FUMC in RR  Directions to FUMC:  (First United Methodist Church)  Located at the SW corner of Mays and Hwy 79.  1004 North Mays, Round Rock, TX 78664 Turn into the church parking lot and go to your furthest building on your right.  Walk in thru the glass doors and the meeting is to your immediate Left. **Supervisors’ CEU meetings — The Georgetown Supervisors’ Peer Support group meets May, August, and November, and February. This is open to all Licensed Mental Health Supervisors. Participants receive 1.5 CEUs.

Why should I join TNC?

If you are looking for an organization dedicated to competency and support and continuing education for its professionals with very affordable dues, The Net Connection is for you. The Net Connection provides the support and encouragement to members to ensure competency in their field and to stay current with practices as well networking and referral opportunities with other TNC members.  The Net Connection is designated as a non-profit, educational organization, 501 (c) (3).

 

What are the benefits of TNC membership?

The Net Connection is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of on-going CEUs, a

Network of highly competent peers, and the opportunity to find clinical support groups. By

joining The Net Connection and attending the monthly meetings you can satisfy your annual

CEU requirements.  Additionally, members have the opportunity to have their profiles and a picture listed in The Net Connection Directory which is at our Find A Therapist page on the website easily allowing the other TNC members and the public to refer to you.

 

How do I join?

Attend a meeting. If you join The Net Connection at that meeting, you will be awarded your first Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). Or you can visit us online at  www.thenetconnection.org  and click on the “Become a Member” tab. Complete and submit the online application.  We will verify your credentials.  You can pay dues by check or credit card at the meeting, or our Treasurer will send you a link to pay online thru PayPal.

Once your application and membership are accepted you will receive your welcome information by email with specific instructions on establishing your web presence with The Net Connection and accessing our list serve!

 

How much does TNC membership cost?

Annual Membership dues range from $25 to $55, depending on the membership category. The categories are Full Membership: a fully licensed professional ($55); Intern: LPC-Intern, LMSW, LMFT-Associate ($25); Student ($25); and Affiliate, someone in a related field ($25).

Checks should be made out to The Net Connection or TNC and submitted with your application.

 

What is the role of The Board of Directors and how do I join the Board?

The Board is responsible for overall policy and direction of The Net Connection, and for ongoing operations of committees. Board members receive no compensation for serving. The Board meets on the following each CEU meeting.  Full members are eligible for serving on The Board if they have had no actions taken against  them in the past three (3) years by their licensing body, or actions pending.
